Accountability Streaks Terms

CanonBoard — Accountability Streaks Terms.

Version 1.0 · Effective July 30, 2026

These terms govern Accountability Streaks. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. For what the program is and what it pays, see the program overview.

1. Who can take part

The programme is called Accountability Streaks, and it is open on every plan — including the free one. Any CanonBoard account can generate a referral link from inside the product. There is no application, no approval queue, and no performance tier to climb — the rate is the same for everyone.

What decides whether commission accrues is your writing streak, not your plan. Write 100 characters in a day and that day counts; do it seven days running and you are earning. Miss seven days in a row and you stop accruing new commission until you build the streak back up.

A lapse pauses your earning. It does not take anything away. Your existing balance, any pending payout, and every referral already credited to you remain yours — and when your streak comes back, commission resumes on those same referrals with nothing to re-do. Earned is earned.

You must be the account holder. Referral links are personal to the account that generated them and may not be sold, rented, or transferred.

2. What you earn

30% of the base subscription price of every subscription you refer, for as long as that customer stays subscribed. There is no expiry date on a referral — but commission only accrues for the periods in which your own writing streak is live (see section 2).

The rate is flat. It does not increase with volume and it does not decrease.

Commission is calculated on the base subscription only. Seat add-ons and credit packs are permanently excluded — that is a program term, not a temporary limitation. Taxes, proration adjustments and refunds are also excluded.

You may not earn commission on your own account or on accounts you control. Self-referral is not a grey area here.

3. When the clock starts and stops

Earning begins on the referred customer's first payment — not on the click, and not on a free signup. Free signups are attributed and simply wait; they begin earning if and when they convert.

If a referred customer cancels, commission stops at cancellation. Commission already earned is not clawed back.

If a cancelled customer returns within 3 months, your attribution resumes and commission continues. After 3 months away, the attribution has expired and the returning customer is no longer attributed to you.

4. Referral links, not coupon codes

Attribution is by referral link only. CanonBoard does not issue affiliate coupon codes, which keeps discount-aggregator sites out of the funnel and keeps our pricing consistent for everyone.

A referral is recorded when a visitor arrives with your link and is stored on their device for 30 days. Last link wins: if a visitor later arrives through a different affiliate's link, the more recent one is credited.

5. Payouts

Payouts are made on request. Once your balance clears the minimum, request a payout from your affiliate dashboard and we settle it manually, normally within 5 business days.

The minimum payout is $25. Balances below the minimum roll forward rather than being forfeited, and there is no deadline by which you must withdraw.

You are responsible for your own taxes on commission income. CanonBoard does not withhold tax and does not provide tax advice.

We may ask you to confirm your identity or provide tax details before a payout is released, where the law requires it. Commission continues to accrue in the meantime.

6. What ends participation

Listing CanonBoard on coupon, deal, or cashback sites.

Paying, incentivising, or otherwise compensating people to sign up through your link.

Self-referrals, or referrals from accounts you own or control.

Bidding on CanonBoard-branded search terms, or running ads that imply you are CanonBoard.

Misrepresenting what CanonBoard does, what it costs, or what it includes — including claims that the AI writes for you, which it does not.

Unsolicited bulk email, spam, or any promotion that would breach the platform it appears on.

Any of the above ends affiliate participation immediately and forfeits pending, unpaid commission. We also monitor churn and refund rates on referred accounts: promotion to an audience the product does not suit helps nobody, including you.

7. Changes to the program

We may change these terms. If a change reduces the commission rate or shortens the earning window, it applies only to referrals made after the change takes effect — referrals already attributed to you keep the terms they were made under.

We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before any material change takes effect.

We may end the program entirely with 30 days' notice. Commission already accrued at that point remains payable to you.

8. The rest

Participation in Accountability Streaks is also governed by the CanonBoard Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

You take part as an independent contractor. Nothing in this program creates an employment, partnership, agency, or joint-venture relationship, and you may not present yourself as a representative or spokesperson of CanonBoard.

The contracting entity is CanonBoard, LLC.
